My favorite Thai place in the 'Burg. They will also detonate your digestive system if you tell them to, without sacrificing flavor, which isn't something all Thai restaurants will do. That's a plus. Seriously.
Everything we've ordered has been fresh and delicious.
My favorite Thai place in Harrisburg!! The food is always delicious. I've never had anything that I didn't like. Be sure to ask for mildly spiced dishes if you're not into spice. (If you are unsure, they'll always put the sauce on the side for you.) Their drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice are to die for!! Don't miss the Mango and sticky rice.I've never had Pineapple Fried Rice this good anywhere else on the planet. It's the perfect balance of curry, a little sweetness and pure joy.
I was first introduced to Thai cuisine here and since I have introduced many family members and friends to it too. This still remains my favorite Thai restaurant. Although it's small - and honestly looks questionable from the outside - the inside atmosphere is very cozy, and the food is excellent. Best to make a reservation if you're planning to go during a busy time of day.
We've been here a few times and it's a good spot for Thai in the Harrisburg area. On our last visit we got a small Tom Yum soup (spicy lemon grass soup with mushroom and smoked chili), drunken noodles with medium spice, and tapioca for dessert. All three dishes were good for this area. We also decided to skip the Thai iced tea when we visited because it was just average the last time we went
I have been to many Thai restaurants in different states on East shore, this one serves the Best Thai food. Their perfect blend of herbs and spices brings flavors of East to your table. Their only downside is parking space during pick hours, but I feel it is still worth the trouble.
This was my first thai food experience, and it was fantastic! Shrimp pad thai, shrimp thai basil, and that lemongrass soup are all addictive!
Bangkok 56 is one of my favorite restaurants. I'm pretty foreign to Thai food. So most of the times I get the same thing which is a good thing I get a red curry dish which I asked them to make it a little hot. When I go to Bangkok 56 I want to start ordering different dishes. The servers are very very nice. And the atmosphere is very very nice!! A very nice restaurant!!
A very good Thai restaurant. Hiding in a unusual location. Good food friendly staffs.More than their fried rice and noodles, their curry menu was awesome. Good for vegetarian lovers. Caution.1. Very limited seating space. If you going with a group of 4+ make a reservation.2. Parking is limited. Better make a carpool if going in a group.3. Not visible on regular traffic. unless you have a Google maps.
Very good food! We ordered the shrimp tom yum, 56 fried rice, pork with veggies, shrimp pad thai, and tapioca for dessert. The tom yum was okay, it doesn’t have the authentic tom yum taste but the kick to it is really good! The fried rice and pork with veggies are both good and savory with a hint of sweet. The pad thai was phenomenal! The tapioca dessert was warm and sweet, really good. Definitely coming back!
The prices for amazing food are reasonable and won't break your lunch budget. The variety of options and levels of spice leaves the patron with a welcome tough choice. Please note that Thai hot is very hot. While they are not open on Monday, you will find them busy other days of the week. The only issue is parking. I highly recommend car pooling if possible.
I could say this is the best Thai food I've ever eaten, which would be true, but I'm not that experienced with Thai food. I will say this was some of the best food I've ever had period. I got a second dish to go because it was so good. Delicious.
The food is excellent. Absolutely delicious. But. We’re regulars and receive the absolute rudest service from the servers. She/they will not make eye contact, greet us or acknowledge our order other than to grab our menus and walk away. Really off-putting and unprofessional and why we’ll go elsewhere.
Best curry in Harrisburg area (better than Chalit's, but noodles are a toss-up between the two). BYOB. Snappy service. Could subtract a point for parking or atmosphere but you'd be missing the point.
The food is really good. I got the pad thai, it tasted great and look nice. Just felt the portion was more of an appetizer. My wife got chicken and brocolli. And she thought her portion was kind of smaller too. The coke I got was flat. When I come back again, i will make sure to order dinner portion.
Great food and service
I have been going here for about 10 years now. The servers are nice and the portions are large. The food comes out relatively fast even if they're busy. The egg rolls are very good. Full of garlicky flavor. This place is on the small side, so sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. Try the crab fried rice or the smoked chili. The tofu is golden fried and puffy, the tastiest type. Best Thai food around the area. You won't regret trying it. The picture below is of drunken noodles.
Best Thai place in the area! Great service and very welcoming! The ingredients are fresh and authentic! Can’t believe I found an authentic Thai place in Harrisburg, PA. I had the Tom Yum soup, Thai Seafood salad and Pad Thai and the taste is amazing! If you enjoy local Thai flavors don’t miss this place!
My go-to place in Harrisburg for authentic Thai food! I love the eggrolls because they are super crispy and are filled with more ingredients than just cabbage and carrots. The pad thai and drunken noodles are also among my favorites. If you're into curries, the green curry is also worth trying! The service is very attentive. The parking lot is tiny so keep that in mind! Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Thai food.
This place is fantastic. Every dish is an explosion of good tastes, smells and great visual presentation. Don't let the small parking lot and modest dining area fool you. I would put this place in it's own special Asian food category. If you haven't tried it, then you for sure should go and sample their board of fare. Also, you can tell the wait person how spicy you want the food.
Best Thai food in the area. Although the parking is limited; it's worth the drive. Food is scrumptious and I want to go again.
The food is amazing each time we've gone! The service is friendly, on time and welcoming. Best Thai place in HBG area.
Small spot but definitely great Thai food
The staff was friendly and pleasant, the food is amazing and fairly priced! Can't wait to go back again.
This place has great Thai food, but it can be a little bit inconsistent. Their Panang curry is awesome and I like that they are accommodating and will add other veggies to it for me.
Food was great! Tasted very fresh and authentic like Thai food should be
Great place for lunch. Love Thai food. Nice menu with lots of selections. Prices and service were both excellent.
Best Thai food around! The owner is wonderful and always remembers us. Great value and all of our takeout orders are perfect!
